Gordon is a city infrastructure expert, city consultant, global thought leader in cities, property & infrastructure developer & investor, city developer, and chartered surveyor. He has an extensive global network with NGO’s, Public Sector, Tech companies, consultants and more.
Gordon engages with city infrastructure projects globally as a trusted adviser to the public and private sectors, NGO’s, including the UN, World Bank and the EU. In Singapore he has worked with agencies such as HDB, IMDA/GovTech, and bodies such as SPRING, NUS.
From 2016 to 2020 he was a strategic advisor to OiER (Organization for International Economic Relations) which is based in Vienna and headed up the Implementation Programme for the UN smart cities group U4SSC. At that time, he was also working with a 4D Digital Twins visualisation and simulation software company while based in Norway.
For 3 years up until Feb 2024 he was the head of Smart Cities for GMR Group based in India which owns and operates airports and infrastructure in India and many other countries.
In March 2024 Gordon took up a new position as Director Cognitive City with OXAGON Neom and is based in Saudi Arabia.
He is also an advisory board member of Azcende Venture Capital which specializes in early stage investments in various city asset classes and was a strategic city adviser to City of Barcelona. Formerly, he was Global Director of Smart Cities for Schneider-Electric, Director of Cisco Urban Innovation and Head of Strategy for Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. Prior to these roles he was involved with real estate and property development with JLL, CBRE and others as well as founding an IT startup in the 1990s. He even worked for three years for an outer Melbourne municipal city in the 1980s.
Gordon’s strategic city knowledge has been influenced by his time working for the Abu Dhabi Government in Masdar City for the $20 Billion USD project which was one of the world’s first sustainable and smart city projects. In 2013 he was ranked No.47 by UBM Future Cities Top 100 City Innovators .

He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Australian Property Institute and is originally from Melbourne, Australia; one of the world’s most livable cities.
